Question: I started the 90-day club two weeks ago, and at first I was exhilarated and lifted up in mood. I had stopped almost all of my negative thoughts with affirmations and other techniques. (I probably do an hour of affirmations of my goals during the day, plus visualizations.) But over the last few days I seem to have less control over my thoughts; I find it very difficult to keep positive in negative situations. Can you give me any advice?

Answer by John Kehoe: Welcome to the ride. And thank you for your question; it is very relevant. I suspect that when you first began doing Mind Power you were exhilarated. You showed great discipline in continuing the practice for 90 days. Now, even after 90 days, your mind is falling back into old habits. Don’t worry; this is only natural. Consciousness is cyclical, with an ebb and flow, just like the tides of the ocean. All you have to remember is to keep practicing. Practice Mind Power when you’re exhilarated. Practice Mind Power when you’re down. Practice daily regardless of how you feel; this is the key. Do not let your moods dominate you. Mind Power will naturally change your thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, but you will still have times when it feels difficult to continue. This is a natural part of the path. The good news is that this too will pass.
